27 Shot Friday into Saturday Night Across Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago
Twenty-seven people were shot, three of them fatally, Friday into Saturday night across Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.
ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times reports one of the fatalities involved a 25-year-old man who was discovered “in the 2600 block of West Thomas Street” about 4:30 a.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The Chicago Tribune reports 1,587 people were shot in Chicago January 1, 2021, through June 14, 2021. That represents 195 more shooting victims that were seen by this same time in 2020.
On June 24, 2021, the Tribune noted Chicago homicides were at 316 for the year.

Breitbart News reported 49 people people were shot last weekend alone in Chicago, and five of those shooting victims succumbed to their wounds. . . .
Suspect Who Shot Florida Police Officer in the Head Is Captured at Black Nationalist Camp near Atlanta
The manhunt to find the shooter of 26-year-old Daytona Police Officer Jason Raynor has ended.
29-year-old Othal Wallace was captured on Saturday morning near Atlanta.
Othal Wallace shot Officer Raynor in the head as the Daytona officer approached Wallace in his vehicle on Wednesday night.
The police captured Wallace in a treehouse near Atlanta belonging to a black nationalist paramilitary organization.
The police also found several firearms and multiple flash-bang-grenades in the treehouse.
Meanwhile, the FBI continues to search for grandmas and preachers who were waved into the US Capitol on Jan. 6.
Police put out a request for help after the shooting.
The multi-agency manhunt for Othal Wallace, 29, ended earlier this morning. Hospital Employee Faces Termination For Refusing To Submit ‘COVID Vaccine-Tracking’ Survey’
As government officials exploit the COVID pandemic, coercing and mandating submission to experimental vaccines that have yet to be approved by the FDA, millions of Americans are drawing the line against the unconstitutional intrusion on their health.
“Freedom in America is gone” if we do not rise up and demand autonomy over our bodies, our right to work and our God-given right to breathe, warns a hospital employee in Santa Clara, California, who suspects he will lose his job if he continues to refuse to comply with the government’s onerous COVID vaccine-tracking scheme.
“This is the hill to die on. They are going down the path of mandating vaccines. The government is forcing everybody to comply and going about it in a slimy, underhanded way. They are not telling the people to their faces, they are twisting the arm of their employers the Santa Clara Valley Med Center employee told the Gateway Pundit. “If I end up losing my job over this vaccine-tracing survey, then that’s a sign that I need to leave the state.”
Employees in Santa Clara County are required to complete a survey detailing whether they have been vaccinated. Employees who have not been vaccinated are mandated to complete the survey every week until they roll up their sleeves and get the injection. . .

J&J Agrees To Pay $230 Million To Settle New York Opioid Claim
NEW YORK—Johnson & Johnson has agreed to pay $230 million to New York state to settle claims that the pharmaceutical giant helped fuel the opioid crisis, Attorney General Letitia James said on Saturday.
The drugmaker also agreed to permanently end the manufacturing and distribution of opioids across New York and the rest of the nation, James said in a statement announcing the settlement.
The company “helped fuel this fire, but today they’re committing to leaving the opioid business—not only in New York, but across the entire country,” she said.
The deal involving a lawsuit brought by James in 2019 removes Johnson & Johnson from a trial that is slated to begin next week on Long Island—part of a slew of litigation over an epidemic linked to nearly 500,000 deaths over the last two decades.
In its own statement on Saturday, Johnson & Johnson downplayed the attorney general’s announcement. It said the settlement involved two prescription painkillers—developed by a subsidiary and accounting for less than 1 percent of the market—that are already no longer sold in the United States.
The settlement was “not an admission of liability or wrongdoing by the company,” Johnson & Johnson said. It added that its actions “relating to the marketing and promotion of important prescription pain medications were appropriate and responsible.” . . .
