“Woke” Hypocrites at Google Flash Gay Logo in US on YouTube During Pride Month but NOT in Turkey and China

A slew of multinational corporations have spent the month of June making communal proclamations of Pride month everywhere.

“Woke” companies – from YouTube and Mercedes-Benz to Lenovo, Nestle and Sephora – updated their logos as June began.

At every turn, we’ve been inundated with promotions of rainbow-blazoned corporate logos, ads romanticizing drag queens, gushing affirmations of gender fluidity and celebration of the “gender transitioning” and gender “conversion therapy” of the youth.

Yet, these corporations are only force-feeding Americans and Europeans their pansexual, non-binary, transgender propaganda. Pandering businesses are careful not to promote their “pride” to Muslim countries.

YouTube’s Pride logo can only be seen in Western markets, a Gateway Pundit reader pointed out.

“They changed the little logo in the top left the YouTube app to a lgbtqzP flag with the satanic crescent moon and sun behind it. I use a VPN and can change my location to anywhere. If you change your location to the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, the gay pride banner vanishes,” he said. “When I changed to China…Presto no gay pride bullshit! They care so much about gay and tranny equality, just not in the countries where gays and trannies are illegal.”

Social justice-fighting corporations stand up for what they believe, except, of course, where their precious profits may suffer if they do:

While corporations refrain from promoting non-gender pride in countries that will not tolerate it, Americans who push back against the campaign to eliminate gender and promote transgenderism and pansexuality to the youth are demonized, demonetized, and canceled.

U.K.’s Data Spying After Snowden Violated Privacy Rights

The U.K.’s bulk interception of its own citizens’ communications in the wake of revelations by whistleblower Edward Snowden violated their privacy laws, Europe’s human-rights tribunal ruled.

The U.K. government’s program “had been authorized by the Secretary of State, and not by a body independent of the executive,” that lacked the “end-to-end safeguards,” to narrow the scope of the data being intercepted, the European Court of Human Rights said in a decision published Tuesday.

The decision from the ECHR’s Grand Chamber reiterated much of a decision from its own lower court in 2018. Significantly, however, the ECHR’s Grand Chamber ruled by 12 votes to 5, that there had been no violation of privacy with regards to the U.K.’s regime for requesting intercepted material from foreign governments and intelligence agencies.

“The judgment confirms definitively that the U.K.’s bulk interception practices were unlawful for decades, a finding that vindicates Mr. Snowden’s whistleblowing,” Big Brother Watch, the campaign group which made the original claim, said in a statement. . . .

Flashback: March 2014 – Snowden Vindicated | Harvard Civil Rights

Snowden was right all along. Or at least that’s what President Obama seemed to suggest on Tuesday during his public endorsement of the Justice Department’s plan to overhaul the National Security Agency’s phone records program. President Obama asked Congress to “quickly” pass legislation to reform the controversial surveillance program—a program that would still be secret today if not for Edward Snowden.

How did Snowden and his team respond to the government’s all-but-confession to the illegality of the surveillance program? Ben Wizner, legal advisor to Snowden, stopped by Harvard Law School to answer that question and many more. . . .

NSA Denies Spying on Fox’s Tucker Carlson

The National Security Agency (NSA) in a statement Tuesday denied allegations made by Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the agency is spying on him “in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

“Tucker Carlson has never been an intelligence target of the Agency and the NSA has never had any plans to try to take his program off the air,” the NSA, which conducts surveillance on foreign targets, said in a statement on Twitter.

“NSA has a foreign intelligence mission. We target foreign powers to generate insights on foreign activities that could harm the United States,” the agency added. “With limited exceptions (e.g. an emergency), NSA may not target a US citizen without a court order that explicitly authorizes the targeting.”

The NSA’s statement comes after Carlson, who hosts “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” one of the most popular shows on cable television, on Monday accused the agency of having monitored his electronic communications and accessed some of his personal emails.

He cited information from a “whistleblower from within the U.S. government,” but has yet to publicly present evidence to back his claims.

YouTube Blocks Videos Exposing China’s Slow-Motion Genocide in Xinjiang

AP Photo/Mark Schiefelbein
A human rights group focused on exposing China’s slow-motion genocide of the Uyghur people and others in Xinjiang is moving videos from YouTube to another platform after YouTube repeatedly blocked some of its videos for ostensibly violating the company’s terms of service. In one case, YouTube claimed the videos promoted violent criminal organizations, echoing the Chinese Communist Party’s attacks on dissenters.

“There is another excuse every day. I never trusted YouTube,” Serikzhan Bilash, one of the founders of the human rights group Atajurt, told Reuters. “But we’re not afraid anymore, because we are backing ourselves up with LBRY. The most important thing is our material’s safety.”

Atajurt attracted millions of views on YouTube to testimonies from people who say their families have disappeared in Xinjiang. The nonprofit is moving its videos to the alternative video service Odysee after Google-owned YouTube took them down. . . .

Founder of Papa John’s Headlines Cryptocurrency Event

John Schnatter, the founder of Papa John’s pizza, headlined a unique event for cryptocurrency supporters and investors on Thursday, ahead of the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami.

Schnatter was selected as the featured speaker because the first physical purchase in history made with Bitcoin was the purchase of two Papa John’s pizzas in 2010 with 10,000 Bitcoins.

“I was honored to be part of the event. It’s incredible to think how far cryptocurrency has come in just a decade,” Schnatter detailed while speaking, according to an emailed statement.

Schnatter also joked about the dramatic shift in value the cryptocurrency has undergone since its early growth in 2010.

“I’ll forever be proud that the first physical exchange made with Bitcoin was for two of my pizzas, even if the guy who bought them regrets it,” he described while referencing that the amount of Bitcoin used to purchase his two pizzas would currently be worth over $360 million.

Often, Schnatter compares his life to “living the American Dream.” He grew up in a middle-class family in Jeffersonville, Indiana. After completing college, the future founder and CEO returned home to begin his business adventures. He knocked down a broom closet in his father’s tavern, installed an oven and began delivering pizza out of the back of the bar. From there, his brand grew to over 5,000 stores in 45 countries.

At the event, Schnatter compared cryptocurrency to the “American Dream.” He said, “I’ve always been a strong proponent of the American Dream, and I can think of few things that represent the American Dream these days as well as cryptocurrency does. Crypto is democratizing investing.”

The Bitcoin event is the largest cryptocurrency conference in the world. Over 50,000 people are expected to attend the multi-day event.

Biden Targets Crypto Tax Evaders in Global Data-Sharing Pitch

The Biden administration has proposed requiring the collection of data on foreign cryptocurrency investors active in the U.S., aiming to bolster international cooperation to help in a broader crackdown on tax evasion.

The Treasury Department, in its “Greenbook” of revenue proposals released last Friday, proposed a requirement for cryptocurrency brokers, such as exchanges and hosted-wallet providers, to provide information to the IRS on foreign individuals indirectly holding accounts with them.

“They clearly feel that right now there’s a blind spot for foreign owners,” said Jorge Castro, a tax attorney at Miller & Chevalier Chartered who previously worked at the IRS and as a Democratic tax counsel on Capitol Hill. The proposal addresses “certain passive entities and their substantial foreign owners,” the Treasury said.

The U.S. could then provide that information to foreign governments and, in exchange, receive information on any U.S. individuals concealing cryptocurrency assets and dodging their U.S. tax liabilities by using offshore exchanges and wallet providers.

The move, which would require congressional legislation, is part of a campaign by President Joe Biden’s administration to strengthen tax enforcement to help pay for trillions of dollars of proposed longer-term spending programs. It also coincides with the Treasury’s engagement with counterparts around the world to set a global minimum tax for corporations. . . .

Below Is Foundational Information On Some Of The Issues With Big Tech

'Google’s China rapproachment has been spearheaded by Pichai, Google’s current CEO, a 46-year-old Indian-American who took the helm in October 2015. At a June 2016 conference in southern California, Pichai made his intentions clear. “I care about servicing users globally in every corner. Google is for everyone,” he said. “We want to be in China serving Chinese users.”' Google Employees have been warning us about China and Google under Pichai, for years. The censorship chickens have been coming home to roost ever since. Say hello to Dragonfly.

Wondering Why Censorship Has Increased In America? Dragonfly, Censorship Through Algorithms and Human Surveillance, Has Landed Across All Platforms. “Many of us accepted employment at Google with the company’s values in mind, including its previous position on Chinese censorship and surveillance, and an understanding that Google was a company willing to place its values above its profits. After a year of disappointments including Project Maven, Dragonfly, and Google’s support for abusers, we no longer believe this is the case. This is why we’re taking a stand.”

'In another exchange leaked to Silicon Alley Insider, Zuckerberg explained to a friend that his control of Facebook gave him access to any information he wanted on any Harvard student:
